The company Ports and Railways of Mozambique (CFM) has announced the offer of free tickets on passenger trains on the Southern and Central railway system on 7, 8 and 9 July, as part of the celebrations of its 130th anniversary.
The initiative covers the Ressano Garcia, Goba and Limpopo lines (in the Southern region), as well as Sena, Machipanda and Marromeu (in the centre of the country), and is valid for all users, within the limits of the permitted capacity.
CFM celebrates 130 years of existence since the official start of its activities on July 8, 1895, the date on which the first railway connection was established between the then city of Lourenço Marques (present-day Maputo) and the South African city of Transvaal (present-day Pretoria).
