The Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCM) and the Mozambique -United States Chamber of Commerce (CCMUSA) have reaffirmed their commitment to build synergies and collaborate in strengthening the business sector and economic cooperation between Mozambique and the United States.
This commitment was expressed on Tuesday (24/09) during the introduction of the newly elected CCMUSA board of directors, headed by its President Onório Manuel.
Onório Manuel anticipates that CCM will continue supporting CCMUSA in achieving sustainable development for both Chambers, recognizing CCM as an important stakeholder, due to its vast experience and its robustness within the business sector,
In this synergy exchange, Manuel also looks forward to CCMUSA and CCM working together to carry out activities that benefit entrepreneurs, promoting new investment opportunities and further improving the business environment.
Aligned with the objectives of the Bilateral Chamber, the President of the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce Álvaro Massingue stressed that it is important to join efforts to promote actions which benefit the business communities and push both Chambers towards a greater involvement in the productive sector.
Massingue also added that, together, CCM and CCMUSA should advocate for policies that facilitate the training of young people which respond to the specific needs of the market.
Moreover, Massingue noted, the CCM-CCMUSA cooperation should – in addition to extending collaborative efforts to awareness-raising activities among business people about the importance of joining the Chambers as platforms for accessing information on business and markets – also open up business networking opportunities
