Governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Taiabo, says that 106,350 jobs were created in the public and private sectors in the province during the soon-to-end 2020-2024 five-year period.
Speaking at the fourth graduation ceremony for MozYouth project interns, Governor Taiabo noted that, in the same period, 1,848 young people were placed in paid and unpaid pre-professional internships.
Ninety interns graduated at the ceremony with improved employability prospects.
The governor also challenged the MozYouth Foundation, TotalEnergies and CD Parques to continue organizing graduation events in the northern districts of the province.
“It is urgent to accompany the return of populations and companies, with the expansion of employment opportunities in these Districts,” the Governor of Cabo Delgado said.
