Mozambique’s Council of Ministers this Tuesday approved a resolution on the investment policy of the Mozambique Sovereign Fund, defining, among other things, the fund’s strategic reference index and risk limits.
It also establishes guidelines on the asset class, their maximum or minimum limits and types of instruments, countries and currencies eligible for investment of resources.
Meeting in its 36th ordinary session, the Mozambican executive also approved the issuing of a commemorative coin celebrating the forty-fifth anniversary of the creation of the metical, the currency of Mozambique, on June 16, 2025.
The issuance of the commemorative coin aims to promote the history of the metical, nationally and abroad.
A note received by our editorial office indicates that the Council of Ministers also approved the resolution determining the incorporation of 1,000 people into the Civic Service of Mozambique in 2025.
