Two candidates have come forward.
Quessanias Matsombe’s manifesto promises a strong and cohesive CTA capable of ensuring the implementation of the commitments made by the private sector.
Matsombe also wants the CTA to be represented in all provinces by provincial delegation whose leader would be elected by businesspeople and associations of the province, proposing that these delegations would have their own budget and be able to operate autonomously with the goal of ensuring private-public dialogue in the provinces.
The other candidate is Agostinho Vuma, who is campaigning for a CTA that synthesises the aspirations of the national business sector.
Vuma says he will prioritise the training of provincial associations, with particular attention to agribusiness and the emergence of commercial farmers who can earn money, create jobs and pay taxes. Vuma also supports ongoing training for leaders of associations in good governance of their associations based on internal elections, accountability and transparency.
According to information obtained by Noticias, some 112 business associations are entitled to vote in today’s elections.
