Mozambique: Body found in Ricathla; signs of aggression, hands and feet bound – Noticias

A young man approximately 30 years old was murdered at dawn on Saturday (13-02) and left dead in a pool of water in a street in Ricathla’s Block 1, Marracuene district, Maputo province.
Witnesses assume the victim was killed in another location, as no cries for help were heard locally.
“The body shows signs of aggression, in addition to the victim’s hands and feet being tied with ropes,” resident Estêvão Notiço reported.
Ricathla residents are demanding that the authorities reinforce security so as to prevent similar situations occurring in future.
“We don’t know what the victim did to lose his life this way. We are afraid, because we leave home very early [for work] and come back late. We ask the police to reinforce surveillance in the neighbourhood,” Clara Chicane said.
