The body of a man in his 40s was found on Saturday in a vehicle parked on the Maputo ring road, in Marracuene district, Miramar reports.
Residents of the Mhuntanhane neighbourhood were suspicious at how long the car, which reportedly arrived in the early hours of Saturday morning, had remained unattended, and called the police at about 3:00 p.m..
The investigation revealed the body of a man in the trunk of the vehicle.
A police source told Miramar that the body showed no signs of aggression, and that police suspected the man may have died of asphyxiation.
The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) also attended the scene, collecting evidence to help solve yet another murder case which has landed up in that residential area.
The body of the man who was, it is believed, a resident of Matola, was taken to the morgue and the car to a police unit.
