Beluluane Industrial Park on Thursday (May 3) donated computer material consisting of laptop and desktop computers, including accessories and one year’s internet access, to the Office of the Governor of the Province of Maputo.
The equipment was offered under a Memorandum of Understanding signed yesterday by the Director of the Governor’s Office, Kátia Adolfo de Timóteo Come, and the Director General of Beluluane Industrial Park, Onório Boane.
The signing was witnessed by Governor of Maputo, Júlio Parruque, the Beluluane Park Administrator, and staff from the Cabinet of the Head of the Provincial Executive.
Parruque highlighted that the computer equipment was an investment which would bear a return, as it would speed up the processing of documents of interest to both the business community and the population of the province.
Governor Parruque also noted that the MoU formalized an existing partnership between the Provincial Executive Council and Beluluane Industrial Park.
He urged the Governor’s Office to make full use of the equipment, mentioning its importance in several contexts, such as the telework regime imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.
In turn, Onório Boane stated that Beluluane Industrial Park hoped to play an ever-more important role in solutions to the concerns of the Maputo Provincial Executive Council.
Boane said that Beluluane, as the country’s largest industrial park, could not remain indifferent to the appeals of the Provincial Executive Council in its aim of serving the population of Maputo province effectively.
