BCI on Friday extended the validity of its debit and prepaid cards, individual and corporate, by three months. Cards due to expire at the start of May will automatically be extended for a period of three months, counting from the expiry date.
The measure is intended to reduce the influx of customers wishing to exchange expired cards or pick up new ones, reinforcing measures the bank has been taking in view of the new coronavirus in accordance with the recommendations of national and international health authorities.
BCI has also strengthened the capacity of alternative channels, including its network of ATMs and POS (point of sale) infrastructure and alternative platforms such as Channel daki (eBanking) and APP BCI, Whatsapp daki and daki Cell Phone (* 124 #), which, in addition to paying with a card or digitally, allow banking operations to be carried out in a convenient and safe way without visiting a physical bank branch.
