Mozambique: Bakers announce increase in price of bread – Noticias

The Mozambican Bakers’ Association (AMOPÃO) announced on Wednesday its decision to increase the price of a loaf of bread by 2.5 meticais, Notícias reports.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce will today rule on the bakers’ decision, which came into effect yesterday, adds the same source.
AMOPÃO president Victor Miguel says that increases in the price of flour and other fixed costs involved in the manufacture of bread are the reason for the price hike.
