The Provincial Service of Economic Activities in Nampula, through the Technical Secretariat for Food and Nutrition Security in Nampula, is intensifying food and nutrition education campaigns in the districts with a view to combating chronic malnutrition in the province.
These activities are part of World Food Day, which was celebrated this Wednesday (16-10) under the motto, “Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future”.
The SETSAN Focal Point at the Provincial Service for Economic Activities in Nampula, Tomossene António, indicated that advocacy, education and promotion work is also underway to change the behaviour of communities towards healthy eating.
António explained that the relevance of having a healthy diet for the future of children within families has been one of the talking points that SETSAN has been spreading in communities as part of its fight against chronic malnutrition.
