Around 3,300 exhibitors, both national and foreign, are expected at the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair, FACIM, which takes place from 26 August to 1 September in Marracuene, Maputo province.
To date, around 1,400 exhibitors have registered to express an interest in participating in FACIM 2024 via the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX).
Exhibitors representing 26 countries are also expected to attend, 24 of whom have already expressed their interest in participating.
This year’s edition of FACIM foresees receiving around 65,000 visitors.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno, who launched the 59th edition of FACIM, said that this year’s event was of great importance, given that the country is now a member of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The president of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), Agostinho Vuma, said that Mozambican businesspeople were expecting good results from this edition of FACIM, including the signing of memoranda with their counterparts from visiting countries.
