Mozambique: Annual inflation rises to 4% -Official statistics

Average inflation in Mozambique in the 12 months up until March rose for the second month in a row after having fallen continuously since May 2017, the country’s National Statistics Institute (INE) said on Monday.
The average inflation in the year to March went up 0.03 percentage points to 4% after having been falling since May 2017, when it hit 22.33%.
The figures are calculated using a basket of goods and services with data collected in the cities of Maputo, Beira and Nampula.
The Mozambican INE also said that the accumulated annual inflation in 2018 was 3.52%.
