Mozambique: Tobacco export revenue up 41% in 2024 to US$217.2 million

Mozambique’s Minister of Agriculture, Environment, and Fisheries, Roberto Albino, held a meeting with the new World Bank director for Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius, Comoros and Seychelles, Fily Sissoko, to outline action strategies for the coming years.
The visit takes place within a framework of cooperation between the agriculture, environment, and fisheries and the World Bank, and follows the preparation of new agreements that will restructure and enhance the strategic partnership between the two institutions in the sustainable management of natural resources and development.
The meeting agreed on the need to infuse greater dynamism into the existing relationship, with Roberto Albino reinforcing his intention to broaden the scope of cooperation to include structural projects in the areas of food production, forestry industrialization, and territorial and environmental development.
