Residents of Marokani resettlement village in Nanjua, Ancuabe district, Cabo Delgado, took possession of 5,000 zinc sheets on Monday (10-01).
The support was delivered by the Integrated Northern Development Agency (ADIN) in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), as part of the Cabo Delgado Stabilization and Reconstruction programme.
The initiative will benefit 125 families, who received the zinc sheets with great satisfaction and gratitude, since their homes are still uncovered, and the rainy season has already started in Cabo Delgado.
This was just the first batch of zinc sheets, and a further 8,000 – sufficient to clad 200 dwellings – are expected to be delivered in the coming days.
