The launch of an international tender for a company to finance and implement the final phase of digital migration in the country is due to take place before the end of the month, Folha de Maputo reports.
According to Victor Mbebe, chairman of the board of directors of TMT, the public digital television operator, quoted by AIM, work to comply with the rules of contracting services in the country are ongoing and digital migration is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Speaking in Beijing at the sixth digital television development in Africa seminar, Mbebe said that the final phase of digital migration should have already started, but that a revaluation was needed, and it was in this context that the procurement was now being finalised.
