Mozambique: Maputo Hospital appeals for passage of medical staff and blood donations
Terrorist incursions in Quissanga have resulted in the destruction of almost all public and private infrastructure, as well as the mass displacement of the local population, with 95% of the district currently without inhabitants.
The information was provided by the commander of the Mozambique Armed Defence Forces operational command post in Quissanga district, Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Manuel Matimbe.
“We collaborate with the population in all areas. As you can see, the population has not completely returned, in fact we can say that 95% of Quissanga district is completely uninhabited. But we have good relations with the people who still live here,” he said.
