At least 825 people have died in road accidents in Mozambique so far this year, Rádio Moçambique reports.
In the same period last year, 764 deaths were recorded, which means that this year’s numbers represent an increase of 9%, according to the Technical Administrator of the National Institute of Road Transport, Cláudio Zunguze, who spoke yesterday at the launch of the 8th UN Global Road Safety Week.
Specifically, Zunguze expressed concern about the high number of road accidents involving motorcycle taxi drivers.
