Mozambique: 320 police officers indicted for corruption

Three hundred and twenty members of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique face or have already faced court appearances for corruption.
The cases were registered between January to September of this year and concern extortion by members of the traffic, migration and criminal investigation police.
The information was advanced in Gaza by the Ministry of Interior’s Coordinating Council spokesman, Joaquim Bule.
Bule said that, of the 320 cases mentioned, 180 had already run their legal course and could culminate in the expulsion of some force members.
