Two hundred and fourteen schools in Macomia district, Cabo Delgado province, remain closed due to terrorism, affecting more than 18,000 students.
Teaching ceased after the last terrorist attack, in May, forced the closure of all fifty-five schools in the district, with around 17,000 students affected.
Melchior Patrício, spokesperson for the Provincial Directorate of Education in Cabo Delgado, told Radio Mozambique that students and teachers displaced from Macomia were being reintegrated into schools in their host districts.
