A 12-year-old boy was kidnapped this Tuesday morning in downtown Maputo. The incident was recorded by a security camera.
The CCTV footage shows the kidnapper waiting initially on the other side of the street. Seconds later, he crosses the street and walks alongside his victim before suddenly grabbing hold of the boy and dragging him off.
The crime took place right next to a mosque. The boy is called Shezad and is the son of one of the managers of the Armazéns África company.
Called to the scene after the incident, police noted the existence of several cameras in the vicinity and secured access to the video.
