Mozambique: Teachers denounce 'compulsory transfers' as a form of 'psychological pressure'

Mozambican civil society organisations are preparing a demonstration for tomorrow, Saturday, in Maputo, to protest against the political tension, the cost of living and the debts incurred by the State. The organisers of the peaceful march assure that everything is ready and that they already have municipality’s permission.
Called “Popular march for peace – The people can not stand any more”, the march i supported by public figures in the country and good participation levels are expected.
Alice Mabota, President of the Human Rights League, says that it is time people lose their fear and join the cause.
On Friday, the organisers will instruct a group of young people to serve as a protective band against infiltrators. Civil society advocates that everyone should carry their mobile phones to be able to photograph and, or shoot any anomaly during the demonstration that is intended to be peaceful.
The march will start at 7 pm, at the Eduardo Mondlane’s statue and will end at the Praça da Independência.
