Mozambicans demonstrate in front of Kempton Park court

The hearing at the Kempton Park court in Johannesburg of former finance minister Manuel Chang, accused by the US court of money laundering, financial fraud and electronics fraud, is taking place today.
In today’s session, the lawyer for the former minister and current deputy of the Assembly of the Republic will contest his extradition to the United States.
The court authorised journalists to enter the room where the hearing was held, but photographers remained outside.
Meanwhile, some Mozambicans are demonstrating in front of the court building, holding posters with messages that include demands that the money supposedly diverted by the suspects in the ‘hidden debts’ case be returned.
