Mozambican law firm TTA – Sociedade de Advogados was ‘Highly Commended’ in the category ‘Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team of the Year’ at the African Legal Awards 2016, which took place in South Africa on Friday, 9 September. The evaluation process for this category took into account the firm’s new standards in the provision of legal services in the area of litigation and arbitration, and its leading position in the market where it provides those services.
Operating in Mozambique for five years, TTA has become a point of reference in the market as a result of the advice it has provided on some of the largest and most important operations that have taken place in Mozambique, and of working directly and systematically with some of the best law firms from around the world.
TTA was nominated for the fourth time in a row, in six categories ranging from social responsibility to innovation, alongside by GLA, the PLMJ Network member in Angola, which made its debut at this year’s awards with three nominations in categories including “Property Team of The Year” and “Employment Team of the Year”.
For Tomás Timbane, partner and coordinator of TTA, “this honourable mention is an important landmark, as well as public and international recognition of the quality, technical capacity and know-how of TTA’s lawyers. It positions us as a trusted partner for institutions and companies, which provides them with a full-service in Mozambique”.
