Mozambique: Nampula marks 10 years of the Laudato Si

A total of 35 health workers in Mozambique were infected with the novel coronavirus as the country’s confirmed cases reached 409, said the Ministry of Health in the northern province of Nampula on Saturday.
The infected health workers are from various areas including the health units, laboratories, administrative posts and even include those who had participated in disease-control activities, said Health Minister Armindo Tiago at a press conference.
In the previous 24 hours, test results of 14 health workers returned positive and 13 of them are from the province of Nampula, said Tiago.
Concerned about the situation, the health ministry was said to have strengthened preventive measures for health professionals, through the reinforcement of Personal Protective Equipment and training for correct use.
“In addition, we have been providing psychosocial support to all affected employees,” said the minister.
By Saturday (June 6), he country had registered 409 cases of COVID-19, with two deaths and 126 recoveries.
