Mozambican fashion talent is showcasing its style abroad, with designer Taibo Bacar dressing British actress Charlotte Carroll at the 82nd edition of the 2025 Golden Globes, in Los Angeles, United States of America.
The event took place on January 5, and was the first time that national fashion had walked the red catwalk of one of the most prestigious film events in the world.
In a statement, the National Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (INICC) noted that “it was the first time that a Mozambican had taken a national brand to the most prestigious event in the world, where film stars meet”.
Renowned for its elegance and originality, the Taibo Bacar brand makes its debut at the Globos de Ouro, where glamour and elegance are the main ingredients of the event.
By making its presence felt on one of the biggest international stages for cinema and entertainment, Taibo Bacar elevates the work of national designers, proves the quality of work produced in Mozambique, highlights the talent of Mozambicans and shows the world that national production is capable of competing with designers from other parts of the world.
This achievement honours us as a nation and as a country that seeks affirmation in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries, especially in the field of fashion.
With this achievement, Mozambique raises its flag in the field of arts and opens a new window for the credibility of Made in Mozambique production.
