Mozambican currency registers slight appreciation against Euro and US dollar

The Mozambican currency appreciated slightly against the Euro and the US dollar over the last week at the central bank’s average benchmark exchange rates.
The Euro was bought on average last week for 66.98 meticais, 41 metical cents less than the previous week.
Sale was made at 68.32 meticais per Euro, 41 metical cents less.
The daily average purchase price for the Euro ranged between 66.35 and 67.48 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 67.67 and 68.82 meticais.
The US dollar, the currency used to calculate the reference exchange rates for other currencies in Mozambique, was purchased on average at 57.48 meticais, 18 metical cents less than the previous week.
The sale was made at 58.62 meticais per US dollar, 19 metical cents less.
The daily average purchase price of the US dollar ranged between 57.32 and 57.61 meticais, while the sale price ranged between 58.46 and 58.75 meticais.
