Mozambican currency loses 1.2 meticais against the Euro in the last week

The Mozambican currency lost 1.2 meticais against the euro last week, partly due to the appreciation of the European currency against the US dollar, which is the basis for the exchange rates in Mozambique.
On average, last week the Euro was bought in Mozambique for 72.68 meticais, 1.2 meticais more than the previous week, according to central bank average exchange rates followed by Lusa.
In turn, the sale was made at 74.12 meticais per Euro, 1.23 meticais more.
The daily average purchase price of the Euro varied between 71.74 and 73.75 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 73.17 and 75.22 meticais.
Over the last two weeks, the Euro has appreciated by 2.8 meticais.
The Mozambican currency lost 53 cents of the metical against the US dollar (which serves as the basis for the calculation of other currencies) with average purchase at 58.92 and sale at 60.09 meticais.
