The Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), Mozambique’s main employers’ association, is organising a business mission to the United States this month, a source told Lusa.
The mission will run from September 21 to 27 and includes a business forum in New York that “aims to create partnerships and share opportunities” in both countries.
The detailed programme, to be released, also includes visits to companies in Houston and Louisiana.
The business mission is expected to accompany a visit by the Mozambican president, Filipe Nyusi, to the United States, but the presidency office, contacted by Lusa, declined to provide any further information.
Filipe Nyusi’s last official visit to the United States took place in June 2017, at a time when US investment in Mozambican natural gas was one of the central themes.
