Russian star pianist Alexey Shakitko performed on 18 April for an esteemed audience of business leaders and Ambassadors in Maputo. Members from foreign business chambers of more than 15 countries came together to celebrate the newly established Federation of Mozambican Chambers of Commerce (FMCC) and were transported by a world-class performance of the works by Chopin, Beethoven, Balakirev and Schubert.
The president of the FMCC, Evaristo Madime, commented: “Today we saw the birth of one of Mozambique’s most important initiatives – The creation of a Federation for all business organisations present in Mozambique. FMCC wants to attract more foreign investment, create opportunities for shareholding, develop skills and create jobs.”
Beluluane Industrial Park hosted the event in Maputo. Its Managing Director Adrian Frey, who is also the President of the Swiss Mozambican Chamber, pledged its support to FMCC saying that Beluluane Industrial Park is a driver for the economic development in Mozambique.
