Mozal offering 20 scholarships for women

Twenty women have received Mozal scholarships to study industrial subjects to degree level. The scholarships are the result of a partnership between the multinational and the STV programme, ‘Isto é Show’ [‘This is a Show’].
The beneficiaries will learn engineering, with emphasis on mechanics, civil construction, industrial management and applied geology.
Mozal and the other stakeholders hope the action will strengthen the presence of women in the industrial sector.
Of the 20 beneficiaries, 10 are from Maputo province, with the remaining 10 provinces represented by a woman apiece.
The offer of scholarships to women is part of the TV show’s second-phase ‘Transformando Vidas’ [‘Transforming Lives’] section. The recipients have indicated that they are very happy to have such an opportunity.
