Mozambique: Chinese citizen kidnapped in Matola - Watch
O País
More than 15,000 foreigners were forced to pay fines amounting to around 11 million meticais [US$184.951 at current exchange rates] last year as a result of migration offences. Among the main causes are the illegal stay in the country and lack of communication of the change of identification elements.
The amount collected by SENAMI represents an increase above 100 percent when compared to the same period of the previous year.
Among the causes of the increase in fines imposed on foreigners is the intensification of enforcement actions and greater coordination with other authorities.
The SENAMI also reported that last year it implemented 11 measures of administrative expulsion and ban on entry into the country to 11 foreign citizens.
