Renamo president Ossufo Momade yesterday (Monday 18th) released a list of 13 members selected as regional political advisers to his cabinet.
According to Momade’s statements at a teleconference with party members in Maputo, the choices are guided by the need to “win the legislative, presidential and provincial elections.” Momade further urged the party to “generate greater momentum in grassroots political-party activities”.
For the provinces of Cabo Delgado and Niassa, Ossufo Momade indicated Fernando Matoassanga and Fernando Tomé.
In Nampula, the political advisers of the Renamo leader’s office are Carlos Manuel and Carvalho Pensado.
Victor Viandro and Sebastião Temporário were entrusted with the same mission for the province of Zambézia. In Sofala, Manica and Tete, Francisco Maingue and Juliano Picardo, respectively.
Ossufo Momade also appointed José Manteigas and Domingos Joaquim for Inhambane, while António Muchanga will be assigned to Gaza and Rahil Khan to the capital of the country.
But these appointments, along with other changes in the party organisation, “[would] not make magical change by themselves,” Momade said. It would take work, he stressed.
