Missing Portuguese businessman’s wife praises Mozambique’s initiative to clarify case

The wife of Américo Sebastião, the Portuguese businessman kidnapped in July 2016 in Nhamapadza, Maríngue district, Sofala province, has praised a Mozambican authorities’ initiative to re-examine the case.

Speaking on Wednesday in Maputo, Salome Sebastião said that, this year, there had been greater willingness on the part of the Mozambican authorities to cooperate with Portugal in the investigation and rescue of her husband.

However, the whereabouts of Américo Sebastião, a Portuguese businessman operating in the areas of livestock and forestry, remain unknown.
