Misinformation on cholera spreaders lands six in detention in Nampula – report

Six individuals are being detained by the police in the Namutequeliua neighbourhood for spreading misinformation about the spread of cholera in the city of Nampula.
Speaking at the usual weekly police press briefing, Zacarias Nacute said that the individuals concerned went to the neighbourhood secretary’s home and destroyed it, on the pretext of him allegedly being the protagonist in the distribution of the disease.
For their part, the detainees refute the accusations and say they do not know why they had been arrested.
