Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Oldemiro Baloi has formalised the mechanisms for political consultations between the Republic of Mozambique and the United Arab Emirates.
Minister Baloi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed the memorandum of understanding in a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 71st General Assembly of the United Nations in New York on 23 September.
The memorandum aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the establishment of a mechanism for political consultations on issues of common interest, to be held alternately in Maputo and Abu Dhabi or, where appropriate, on the sidelines of international forums.
