Mineral coal deposit discovered in Mutarara, Tete – report

A mineral coal deposit good for between 15 to 20 years exploitation has been discovered in the district of Mutarara of Tete province.
During this period, output of one to two million tonnes per year can be expected.
According to the Director of Mineral Resources and Energy in Tete, Grácio Gune, the discovery is the result of a survey conducted there.
According to the same source, surveys were carried out in Maravia and Zumbo districts, too.
