Millennium bim named Best Bank in Mozambique by Global Finance

Millennium bim has once again been named Best Bank in Mozambique by the prestigious Global Finance Magazine. This is the 13th time in 14 years that the bank has won the title.

The 2023 award consolidates the bank’s position as the most awarded financial institution in the country, highlighting Millennium bim’s excellence in the Mozambican banking sector and recognizing its role in promoting the country’s economic development.

The bank’s selection follows strict evaluation criteria covering the quality of the service provided to the customer, its financial performance, the soundness of its balance sheet, its geographical reach and capacity for technological innovation, leadership in the banking sector, a strategy aimed at customers and its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

For the Global Finance jury, Millennium bim has demonstrated a high capacity for resilience and swift adoption of proactive measures in periods not favourable to economic development. “As the US financial crisis spreads to other regions, identifying the best banks in service, stability and institutional expertise is more important than ever,” said Global Finance founder and editorial director Joseph D. Giarraputo.

For the CFO of Millennium bim, João Martins, “Success is not measurable only by the bank’s financial performance, but also through the capacity for innovation demonstrated over more than 25 years. This international public recognition reaffirms the high performance of all employees in the search for new solutions capable of satisfying the needs of our customers”.
