The metical, the Mozambican currency, appreciated slightly against the euro for the second consecutive week.
In average terms, last week, the euro was bought in the country at 71.30 meticals, 14 cents of the metical less than in the average of the previous week.
In turn, the sale was made at 72.68 meticais for each euro, a transaction eight cents of the metical cheaper, according to the weekly averages determined by Lusa from data released by the Bank of Mozambique.
The average purchase price of the euro ranged between 71.15 and 71.67 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 72.54 and 73.03 meticais.
Also last week, the Mozambican currency maintained the exchange rates against the US dollar practically unchanged (buying averages at 60.72 meticais and selling at 61.90 ).
