Mozambique: President Chapo wants a new era of cooperation with Bretton Woods institutions

The Mozambican currency halted the depreciation against the Euro and the US dollar last week, according to central bank average exchange rates, followed by Lusa.
The Metical gained a few cents against both currencies, the US dollar being the currency that serves as the basis for calculating the reference exchange rates for other currencies in Mozambique.
During the last week, the US currency was bought in the country at 61.43 meticais, 16 cents of the metical cheaper than the previous week.
The sale was made at 62.65 meticais per dollar, 15 cents of the metical less.
The daily average purchase price of the US dollar varied between 61.34 and 61.51 meticais, while the sale price ranged between 62.56 and 62.73 meticais.
Meanwhile, the Euro was bought on average at 75.61 meticais, 39 cents of the metical cheaper than the previous week.
The sale was made at 77.11 meticals per Euro, 38 cents cheaper.
The daily average purchase price of the Euro varied between 75.42 and 75.70 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 76.92 and 77.19 meticais.
