Mozambique: Annual inflation slows to 3.96% in July
Metical gains against Euro

The Mozambican currency unit appreciated half a metical against the Euro during the last week, according to daily exchange rates released by the central bank.
Over the last seven days, the Euro was bought here at an average of 68.61 meticais, down 0.54 from the previous week, while the sale price averaged 69.96 meticais, 0.56 meticais cheaper.
In relation to the US dollar, the Mozambican currency remained stable. The US dollar was bought on average last week at 60 meticais, while the sale was at an average of 61.18 meticais, practically unchanged from the previous week.
The US dollar is the currency used as the basis for calculating the reference exchange rates for all other currencies in Mozambique.
