Mozambique: Municipality to spend more than 17 mln meticais building 3 public toilets in Maputo
The Mozambican currency traded without any noticeable swings against the dollar and the Euro in the last week, according to central bank average exchange rates compiled by Lusa.
In average terms, last week, the Euro was bought in the country at 71.01 meticais, 23 metical cents more than the previous week’s average.
In turn, the sale was made at 72.37 meticais for each Euro, a transaction 25 metical cents more expensive, according to the weekly averages determined by Lusa from Bank of Mozambique data.
The average purchase price of the Euro ranged between 70.65 and 71.38 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 72.02 and 72.77 meticais.
The Mozambican currency remained stable against the US dollar (which serves as the basis for the calculation of the remaining currencies) with purchase averages at 60.23 and sale at 61.39.
