Mozambique: 2027 population census to cost $110M, 36M people expected - INE
The Mozambican currency depreciated slightly against the Euro last week, with the European currency being bought in the country on average at 68.14 meticais, 18 cents more than the previous week.
The Euro was selling for 69.48 meticals, 19 cents more expensive according to the weekly averages calculated by Lusa from Bank of Mozambique data.
The purchase price of the Euro varied between 67.97 and 68.43 meticais, while the asking price ranged between 69.30 and 69.79 meticais.
This was the second consecutive week in which the metical fell against the Euro, although this time by less. The Mozambican currency has been appreciating since September 2016, when it fell to an all-time low of 88 meticais to the Euro.
