Medium-voltage electricity poles fall: Quelimane Central Hospital without power

At around midnight on Monday strong winds felled six medium-voltage power poles feeding Quelimane Central Hospital and the administrative posts of Zalala and Macuse, the latter in the Namacurra district. In addition to the central hospital, 3,000 clients were affected.
Following rain and strong winds, the districts of Derre and Luabo are also without EDM power.
EDM in Quelimane is facing serious energy supply problems in the southern districts of the province due to rain and strong winds.
