The Municipality of Marracuene was selected to participate in the prestigious International Workshop for Leaders in Urban Governance, which took place from 24 to 28 March 2025, in Singapore.
The event, organised by UN-Habitat and the Government of Singapore, brought together urban leaders from around the world to discuss innovative solutions for the sustainable and resilient development of cities.
With the theme “Urban Governance for Sustainable and Resilient Development”, the workshop addressed key issues such as affordable housing, infrastructure, sustainable environment and quality of life, through the sharing of knowledge, experiences and good practices.
The participation of the Municipality of Marracuene in this event represents a significant step towards strengthening sustainable urbanisation policies in the municipality, aligning with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 11, which pertains to Sustainable Cities and Communities.
