Maputo: Vehicle pursuit results in crash – Miramar report

Two vehicles” in pursuit” crashed in the early hours of this Friday, on Av. Joaquim Chissano, in Maputo city, Miramar reports. One of the vehicles went off the road into a residential area and the other into a drainage ditch.
The Mahindra brand vehicle, which, when it went off the road, entered the drainage ditch, was chasing the Mercedes that invaded the residential area on the side of the road.
Witnesses told the Miramar report that the Mahindra occupants were dressed in military uniform and armed.
Also according to witnesses, the only occupant of the Mercedes, the driver, is a police officer.
Witnesses claim that, one of the occupants of the Mahindra lost his life on site and the other was taken to a hospital unit.
The occupant of the Mercedes is also under medical care.
