The commercial operation of the approximately 580 km power transmission line between Maputo and Temane in Inhambane has been rescheduled for late next year.
The new date for the project’s commercial operation, which had been scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, is occasioned by the delay in commissioning the Temane Power Plant, due to construction issues following the impacts caused by Tropical Storm Filipo.
Project manager Adriano Jonas explained that the start of commercial operation of the line depends on a new schedule for the completion of the works, to be announced in September.
