Maputo province: Frelimo investigating origin of rumours intended to tarnish voter registration – RM

The Frelimo party in Maputo province says it is investigating the origin of the rumours which associate the party with intentions to tarnish the ongoing voter registration in the country’s 65 municipalities, Rádio Moçambique reports today.

The first secretary of Frelimo in Maputo province, Avelino Muchine, speaking this Wednesday during a visit to Boane municipality, indicated social media as one of the spaces used to foment rumours compromising the reputation of his party.

Muchine said he would bring to the bar of justice the promoters of rumours associating Frelimo with the alleged intention of tarnishing voter registration.

O partido FRELIMO, na província de Maputo, diz estar a investigar a origem dos boatos que associam o partido, às intenções de manchar o recenseamento eleitoral em curso, nas 65 autarquias do país.

O primeiro secretário provincial deste partido, Avelino Muchini, que falava esta quarta-feira, durante a visita à autarquia de Boane, apontou as redes sociais como um dos espaços usados para fomentar boatos que comprometem a reputação daquela força política.

Avelino Muchini garante que vai levar à barra da justiça, os promotores de boatos que associam o partido à alegada intenção de manchar o recenseamento eleitoral.
