Mozambique: LAM halts loss-making Maputo-Lisbon, Harare, Lusaka flights

The president of the board of directors of the Municipal Public Transport Company of Maputo (EMTPM), Maria Iolanda Macamo Wane, has submitted her resignation to mayor David Simango.
According to a statement from Maputo City Council, Maria Wane submitted a request to resign to the mayor, who has accepted it with effect from 10 July.
The municipal transport company has recently been visited by President Nyusi and the minister of transport and communications, both of whom expressed dissatisfaction with the management of bus transport services.
