Mozambique: Heavy vehicles banned from using the bridge over the Revué

Today marks 26 years since the creation of the Municipal Police of the City of Maputo, and also a time when there are at least 20 complaints of noise pollution per week, O País reports.
A wreath was deposited in the Mozambican Heroes Square on Monday morning to mark the 26th anniversary of the Maputo City Municipal Police. The day is one not only of celebration, but also serving to talk about challenges to the environment and health, with noise pollution one of the most striking.
The municipal police reiterate that it does not tolerate corruption and says that, in addition to prosecuting any police agents involved, there are also sanctions against residents.
Since the beginning of the year, Maputo Municipal Police have already applied at least 3,500 fines for infractions in the area of transport, noise pollution and informal commerce.
